Since the year 1989, IELTS test was introduced to assess Individuals to see if they are ready to train in the medium of English Language. It is now used for this purpose around the world.
Depending in the course of study that students plan to take, The Academic IELTS test is necessary for students who plan to study at university or work, and will test the individuals ability both to understand and to use complex academic language. in my own briefly opinion let just say is it to be more understanding in the world of grammar is the treasured key to opened it to us, that it can be further more opened widely competitive, but how about my mom is in hope that ielts could offer her work and more good life also to her family "we was so dissapoited to this kind of promisefull program, knowing that most of my mom's friends is had been discouraged to go to offer to catch oppurtunity given by the help of this program, most of them are cum laude in different know university at the philipphines.
im finding difficult in reading a passage. Can some one help me.
what?
yeah i agree this ielts is more on concentration but the thing is, the reading part which is like a novel that you could not finish it bec. you are timed pressure. imagine it's only 60 mins. aside from that you have to read 3 passages like a novel plus the time you have to consume in finding the answers.
just a follow up for what miss jelly said a while ago. it say's that ielts "it creates and open doors for opportunity" but many candidate were denied an opportunity bec. they were not able to get their required scores. and it's very disappointing for their families as well who's in need of their support and help.
Can any body recommend a book?
i agree to what jelly & nina said. likewise, i hope the standard grade of ielts be lowered so that for those who have average english/ language skills would have the chance to pass the exam and be given the opportunity to work abroad. i am about to take the ielts exam, though i was not able to undergo a review because it costs too much, and i am worried i won't pass. i badly needed money that's why i would want to go abroad. however, ielts exam somehow burdens me because of money and the effort that i should still exert in the review and exams. i am wishful thinking that if ever there's a lower offer for the payment of ielts review and exam.. i would grab it at once. but it's just too expensive and it also expires after 2 years.. sad but true.. i need money. ielts needs me to bring out money.. it's just not that possible :(
Quite true about ielts expiring after 2 years. Well, mainly, in my opinion it is because that it is a requirement for an individual for his or her application abroad or for a permanent resident in a country. Overall, taking ielts is also to put yourself to the test on how much you have learned and have exposed yourself to be ready to live in another country. Reviewing for ielts is not a requirement for you to learn. Basically, you should learn and expose yourself on your own. Read books, watch American and British movies..... speak to foreigners. I know it isn't easy to do so but it is all up to you. Money isn't the issue. I took ielts myself. Pay't for the exam already is costly. What more for the review if you think you really need it.... Practice to be keen in listening then practice the subject-verb agreement and tenses. Try this out.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kY8SSIGMilc.
Its inexpenive. I personally want to help others in the less expensive way possible. I do want to help.... but mind you... I didn't gain all this overnight. Discipline is the key and practice, meaning at home and outside home. You are free to listen to the link above.

helpful hub for ielts
I firmly believe that now IELTS is just a business .I have attempt 5 times in IELTs in Australia and have got 8 even 8.5 in each 4 sections but not at the same exam. Every time i got 6.5 either in writing or speaking. once, I got 8 in speaking and in next exam i just got 6.5!Wow! What an evaluation system! If u don't believe i can let you see my reports. Its a well planned cheating business in Australia and no one is protesting against this.
